How long do I have to bring my Florida case against a person who was driving under the influence?

When somebody was driving under the influence and causes a car wreck, the amount of time that you have to bring the lawsuit depends on the harm that they did. If that drunk driving crash killed somebody, it’s what we call a wrongful death case, and the statute of limitations for wrongful death cases is two years in the state of Florida. If the person was not killed, but was injured and survived, then we have four years to bring that claim.
