If my insurance company denies my claim in Florida do I have any rights?

When an insurance company denies your claim in Florida, you do have rights. If it’s your own insurance company, the first thing that you’re going to want to do, as long as you think they’re wrong to deny your claim, is you’re going to have to fill out what’s called a Civil Remedy Notice of Insurer Violation. If you just go on the World Wide Web and type in Florida Civil Remedy Notice of Insurer Violation, you’re going to get a form that you can download, print off. It will have instructions for how to fill it out. Some people feel comfortable filling it out themselves. You don’t need a lawyer to do it. You can do it yourself, and it’ll have the address of where you mail it and explain the process to you. The first thing you’re going to have to do if you’re not satisfied with what your own insurance company is doing is a Civil Remedy Notice of Insurer Violation.
