Should I provide statements to my insurance company and the insurance company of the driver who hit me?

When you’re in a car accident or motorcycle accident in Florida, your own insurance policy is going to require you to cooperate with your own insurance company. If they want you to give a statement, the insurance policy is going to require it. They’re going to explain that to you. Yes, you’re going to need to cooperate with your own insurance company. Do you have to give a statement to the other person’s insurance company? Absolutely not. Maybe there’s some situations where you’d want to, maybe not, but know this, you don’t have to give a statement to the other person’s insurance company. You never have to talk to them at all if you don’t want to.
