Are tavern or bar employers or the actual employees liable in a dram shop action or liquor liability case?

We’re looking at an alcohol-related incident. It started out at a bar, so who’s going to be responsible for that? Is it going to be the bartender, the employee, or is it going to be the bar owner, the company that owns the bar? The answer is really simple: It’s always going to be the company that owns the bar. As a business owner, I’m responsible for what my employees do, and that’s true for my business, it’s true for all businesses, and even for bars. Bars have a responsibility to properly train their employees. If they don’t properly train their employees, their employees cause harm, well, the bar’s going to be held accountable for that.
