One of the most common ways of motorcycle accidents is a car that turns left in front of a bike, violates the right of way. Who is at fault? The car is at fault because anybody who is turning left has to yield the right of way. Car owners almost always say, “I didn’t see the motorcycle.” It’s your job to look. People always say … I hear a lot, “You know what? The bike came out of nowhere.” Think about that for a second. What do you mean it came out of nowhere? It didn’t come out of nowhere. You weren’t looking. That’s why you didn’t see it. If you turn left in front of a motorcycle, you’re going to be at fault.
