There’s a kind of insurance that is called umbrella insurance. It’s one of the rare situations when something is exactly what it sounds like. An umbrella does what? It covers everything and protects everything. For people who have auto insurance, the limits of that auto insurance might be $25,000. It might be 50 or a 100 thousand dollars. An umbrella insurance policy would provide benefits not just for car accidents but for any other kind of harm that I might accidentally do to somebody else. Usually umbrella insurance policies have very high limits, like a million dollars or more.
