The auto insurance company is not paying me fairly on my total loss. What should I do?

When your vehicle’s a total loss and you feel that the other person’s insurance company is not treating you fairly, well you don’t have to accept the offer that they give you. There are sources that are available to everybody once you research the value of a car. There’s Kelley Blue Book and other services that anybody with access to the internet can find. Use those services, come up with an evaluation yourself for what you think your vehicle is worth, and you can also talk with car dealerships. They’ll give you an idea of what your car is worth. Hopefully the insurance company will be fair with you once you’re armed with that information and you can ask the insurance company, “Where are you coming up with your numbers?” See if you can come to an agreement, hopefully you can.
